Remote Mend

Your website, mended remotely.

Website audits, repairs and builds for WordPress, Square Online, Wix and Squarespace. Built for US small businesses. Tell us what broke and get an answer: what is wrong, and a quick fix where one is possible. Bigger repairs go through the audit and your approval first, and end with a before/after report. Tax excluded.

More services → SEO plans, site builders and new sites, LinkedIn pages, DNS and email, domain custody, automations, hacked-site cleanup and remote support.

How we work

Read-only audit

Public pages only. No forms, no checkout, no login. You get the fault, the evidence, the impact, and a fix. A Lighthouse score is included only when the cause is named.

See what an audit tells you →

Fixes on staging

Approved WordPress and WooCommerce repairs. Backup first. Staging when an update or a template change can break the live site.

Changelog

What changed, what was backed up, and what was left alone. The watch plan writes only when something fails or changes. It is not unlimited edits and it is not hosting.

Audit$500Credited if you approve the repair within 14 days.
Repairfrom $1,500Quoted in the audit. WooCommerce checkouts and heavy homes land higher.
Watch$99/site/monthAfter the repair. Studio bench is $79 a site, five-site minimum, only after one paid repair.

Lighthouse lab data, not real-user data.

Madriz Ink

Client · Square Online · 11–12 and 17–18 October 2026

Madriz Ink home page on a phone before the work: a large Cookiebot consent window mentioning 1,086 partners covers most of the screenMadriz Ink home page on a phone after the work: the studio photo is visible and a smaller cookie banner sits at the bottom

Lighthouse mobile captures of the home page, 9 and 12 October 2026.

  • Site images: ~750 MB → ~80 MB
  • Layout shift, phones (home): 0.31–0.36 → ≤0.009
  • Google Analytics hits before consent: Yes → 0
  • Mobile score (home), final: 13 → 36

A tattoo studio in central Madrid. The wins: we compressed 405 images (about 750 MB down to about 80 MB across the site), replaced a heavy consent pop-up with a lighter banner and stopped the home page jumping on phones. When the jump came back, our 17 October re-audit caught it and a second repair fixed it; a banner shift on /tatuajes-en-madrid-centro found on 18 October was fixed the same day. The honest part: the final mobile score is 36. Square loads its own scripts, around 1 MB that can’t be edited from the site, and that caps what any optimisation can achieve, so the main image still appears after about 17 s on a simulated slow phone.

Scores: Lighthouse mobile lab results, re-audit of 17 October and re-test of 18 October 2026 (median of 3 runs). 0 Google Analytics hits before consent. No Meta cookie is set before consent, but Meta’s script still loads early through Square’s connected Meta account (a Square limit).

What the audit has already caught

These are read-only samples, not completed repairs.

Read-only sample

A creative studio on WordPress and WooCommerce

Desktop Lighthouse 92. Mobile 32. Home weight 17 MB, mostly a duplicated hero video and full-size images Cloudflare was not caching. Google Analytics cookies before any banner. Shop terms page empty. Core and WooCommerce behind. SPF pointed at a registrar while mail was Microsoft 365.

Read-only sample

A content site on WordPress

Consent tool loading analytics before a choice. Terms URL linked hundreds of times and returning 404. Mobile Lighthouse in the low 30s. Server response near four seconds.

Read-only sample

Other platforms, read-only audit

An Odoo shop whose paid-plan buy buttons returned 403, and a hosted app whose home weighed 32 MB. The report is the product until that stack has been fixed twice.

What the audit covers

A hands-on, evidence-based review of your site in seven areas, explained in plain language so you know where it stands.

01

Speed and Core Web Vitals

How fast your key pages load on phones and computers, using real visitor data when Google has it, plus server response, page weight and image or GIF sizes.

02

SEO

Whether Google can find, read and trust your pages: broken links, redirects, sitemap, titles and descriptions, headings, language tags, structured data, social previews, local business details, and thin or forgotten pages such as default posts or an abandoned blog.

03

Accessibility

Whether everyone can use your site: image descriptions, readable contrast, labelled forms, zoom and comfortable use on a phone.

04

Security

The basics that keep you off the wrong lists: HTTPS, security headers, files or backups left public, outdated CMS, plugins or themes, and exposed usernames.

05

Email and domain

Whether your emails reach the inbox (SPF, DKIM and DMARC) and when your domain is due to expire.

06

GDPR and legal

Whether cookies load before visitors agree, whether the banner is fair, and whether your legal pages and forms cover privacy.

07

Store and UX

Whether buying is easy: the buy button, clear prices, shipping and returns info, friction at checkout, whether your analytics still records sales, plus catalog structure, stock visibility, product URLs, and contact forms, newsletter signup and social links.

Everything is read-only: we never submit forms or place orders.

What you receive

The full report, delivered as a clear document you can act on yourself or hand to your team, with plain-language explanations.

Prioritized fix list

Every issue ranked by impact, so you know what to tackle first.

Evidence for each finding

The exact URL, tag or response behind it: no vague advice.

Effort and recommended fix

Each item rated low / medium / high effort with a concrete solution.

How it works

  1. 1

    Send your URL

Tell us about your site and goals.

  2. 2
